APV Engineered Coatings is the leading producer of decals for lettering race tire sidewalls. We have supplied decals to race tire manufacturers since 1992. Decals are used to apply the company name and/or logo onto race tire sidewalls. APV currently supplies decals to five major race tire manufacturing companies in the USA and two companies abroad.
Decals or laylines consist of a rubber-based ink printed onto a carrier in the design of the letters or logo to be transferred onto the tire sidewalls. The decals are transferred onto the tire sidewalls using a post-cure heat transfer method (Time, Temperature, and Pressure).
Note: Decals can be applied to other rubber parts and tire types, i.e. lawn and garden, ATVs, and golf cart tires.
